"We Have Long Endured Your Hostile Behavior"

*
*
From a Pat Dixon email of January 21, 2014:

Kathie,

We have long endured your hostile behavior.  Threatening our staff or SLECT goes well over the line.

In contrast, yesterday Michael Lee and John Wilford asked for details in a respectful and professional manner. I can only conclude from your message that you intend to intimidate our executive director Lauren Daugherty and Membership Director Heather Fazio, who are responsible for making these conferences a reality, or individual SLECT members for causing these expenditures by voting in favor of them.

Insert some financial statistics, and the names of twenty people Kathie threatened with financial spankings

Kathie, if you intend to cause our staff or SLECT to pay out of their pocket for these expenses, I will strongly oppose this.  I believe we have behaved in a proper manner and I ask you to do the same.

Yours in Liberty,

Pat Dixon
Chair, Libertarian Party Of Texas

I don't like what you did, so I'm gonna sue your ass until it glows....

On Jan 21, 2014, at 12:49 PM, Kathie Glass wrote the following to the entire State Libertarian Executive Committee, in response to the funding of our outstanding Leadership Training Conferences:

Without regard to the merits of this proposal, this is an unacceptable and invalid way to expend Party funds.  Whoever causes money to be spent in this way will be personally liable to the Party.

I would at least like to have the names of the 20 persons who supposedly have approved this expenditure.

Toward Liberty,

Kathie Glass

(Some of the people who voted for this expenditure were long-time Kathie supporters.  I wonder if they still are?  Hmmmm.....)

Homosexuality Destroys Everything It Touches

Here are some comments about our gay friends and neighbors from Kathie Glass's newly elected Vice-Chair in the Harris County Libertarian Party, Doc Greene.
Where in the hell does she find these people?

"Just Another Republican/Tea Party Candidate"

From a former supporter of the Libertarian Party, commenting on the previous Kathie Glass campaign for governor:

"....In a year of super opportunity to drive a great message of differentiation from the republican/tea party - you nominate a governor candidate who is anti-immigration and sounds just like every other tea party candidate.

I was clear over a year ago in my goals, gave you guys a shot, and feel let down.  Maybe I will rekindle my enthusiasm in the future, but for now I'm going to allocate my liberty funds elsewhere."

Your list is missing something

A massive percentage of the U.S. population believes that without government intervention, children would be starving in the streets, the poor would have no electricity, and a huge number of sick people would be sent home to die.

I'm not one of those people.  I believe that government creates more poverty than it eliminates.

Do you believe that a huge, intrusive government is necessary to keep people from falling into hunger, want and despair?

Then why didn't you put  The Department Of Health And Human Services on your list?

The mission of the Department of Health and Human Services is to help provide the building blocks that Americans need to live healthy, successful lives.  We fulfill that mission every day by providing millions of children, families, and seniors with access to high-quality health care, by helping people find jobs and parents find affordable child care, by keeping the food on Americans’ shelves safe and infectious diseases at bay, and by pushing the boundaries of how we diagnose and treat disease.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the United States government’s principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves. HHS is headed by the Secretary who is the chief managing officer for our family of agencies, including 11 operating divisions, 10 regional offices, as well as the Office of the Secretary.

I know this is a tough question.  Why didn't you put HHS on your list?

The answer goes something like this....   We all like to do some preening and posturing, right?  No one has ever lost many friends or lost social standing by standing up for poor people.  I like standing up for poor people, but Libertarians stand up for them in a different way than most.

You didn't have Uncle Sam's poverty program on your list for the same reason you don't have Reverend Moon's anti-poverty program on your list.

You don't want to see your money wasted.

You know it's true.
